Through several initiatives and program, the North Dakota Petroleum Foundation and its sponsors are giving back through philanthropic donations, programs, and initiatives.

Education opportunities abound for teachers, STEM and future energy leaders
Education opportunities abound this spring for teachers and students. Education is a key component of the North Dakota Petroleum Foundation’s mission, and we’re proud to support and promote several programs and scholarships, including:
Oil and Gas Teacher Education Seminar
Teachers can earn credits while learning more about the state’s largest energy industry.
Al Golden Scholarship
Students pursuing an energy-related degree can earn $2,000 toward their tution.
STEM Scholarships for Teachers
The Northwest Community Foundaiton and Grayson Mill Energy are partnering to provide STEM educators with resources to support their professional development, and to enhance STEM education in the region for students, educators and their school communities.
A T4 Summit is scheduled in Watford City in April and several more will be scheduled for the 2022-2023 School Year.

Technology is changing the way we produce and use our abundant energy resources. Together, North Dakota’s universities and the industry are ushering in a new age of innovation and invention.
Through the North Dakota Petroleum Foundation, North Dakota’s oil and gas industry has helped raise and contribute more than $96,000 for conservation and wildlife habitat projects throughout the state. Working with landowners, the Foundation has planted 134,000 trees in just four years. The Foundation and its supporters also continue to partner with the Mule Deer Foundation to rehabilitate and revitalize habitat in western North Dakota for mule deer and other wildlife.
Planting for the Future
Planting for the Future helps build and improve habitat for future generations through large-scale tree plantings.
Teacher Education Seminar
The Teacher Education Seminar brings 50 teachers together to learn more about the oil and gas industry, tour the oilfield and more.
Bakken Rocks CookFest
The Bakken Rocks CookFest is a free festival that includes free food, music, games and activities for kids, and more.
