TC Energy Donates $7,500 to Planting for the Future
October 20, 2021
TC Energy donated $7,500 to the North Dakota Petroleum Foundation’s Planting for the Future program. This program is committed to working with industry, wildlife groups, and private landowners to create large-scale tree and shrub plantings on private land that will serve as habitat for future generations. TC Energy’s donation will help plant more than 8,000 trees through the program.
“We are so appreciative of TC Energy’s generous donation to the program and our conservation efforts,” said Tessa Sandstrom, executive director for the Foundation. “Like many of our industry partners and their employees, TC Energy has shown a commitment to maintaining our outdoor heritage and making our state and even better place to live, work, play and raise a family for North Dakotans.”
To date, this program has planted more than 134,000 trees in four years across North Dakota and has been extremely popular among landowners and industry partners. Planting for the Future is planning to plant another 210,000 trees in the next three years, thanks in part to donations from industry partners like TC Energy and grant money from the Outdoor Heritage Fund.
