Giving Hearts Day a Success for Foundation

Bismarck, N.D. –

North Dakota Petroleum Foundation (NDPF) raised $25,680.00 in its first year participating in the Giving Hearts Day fundraising event which culminated at midnight on February 8th. Thanks to the generosity of donors, the NDPF surpassed its goal of $20,000. 

NDPF Executive Director, Tessa Sandstrom, shares “We appreciate all the companies and individuals who donated towards our Give for Growth campaign. We especially want to recognize Hess Corporation for providing our initial match dollars. We are excited that additional donations exceeded our match.”  

With the results of Giving Hearts Day contributions, NDPF will be able to bolster outreach efforts with T4 Summits (Tools, Trades, Torque, and Tech) where industry leaders to share hands-on activities with our state’s future workforce. NDPF also plans to continue our conservation efforts with our Planting for the Future program.

Through NDPF outreach programs, scholarships and educational opportunities, and environmental stewardship programs, we strive to help our neighbors make our communities better places to live, work, and raise a family. Through its many award-winning programs, the NDPF has planted more than 354,000 trees throughout the state, hosted more than 10,000 North Dakota students at STEM and trade summits, given more than $155,000 in scholarships, and reached tens of thousands of others through outreach and education opportunities.
