3rd Annual Birds & Birdies a Success!

The North Dakota Petroleum Foundation hosted its 3rd Annual Birds & Birdies, raising money for habitat and wildlife projects and education and outreach initiatives. Thirty-six teams participated in the event.

The event includes clay shooting, rimfire and archery events in the morning, followed by golf in the afternoon. Prizes were awarded for marksmanship and overall event winners based on a combination of all three shooting events and golf scores. Congratulations to this year’s winners!

Overall Tournament Scores:

  1. Tenet Solutions Team: Patrick Miller, Wilbert Lindamoo, Clay Rodgers and Dave Servinski
  2. Lund Oil Team: Brady Lund, Cody Hilliard, Josh Zinda and Nick Liebel
  3. Hess Corporation Team: Simon Sattler, Sean Knutson, Angelou Vournas, Caleb Eide

Archery Competition:

  1. Darren Schmidt, UND Energy & Environmental Research Center
  2. Patrick Michael, ConocoPhillips

Rimfire Competition:

  1. Coy Hogan, ConocoPhillips
  2. Sean Knutson, Hess Corporation

Trap Competition:

  1. Josh Jarmin, Creedence Energy Services
  2. Angelou Vournas, Hess Corporation

Golfers were also awarded pin prizes during the Birdies portion of the event:

Longest Putt:  Clay Rodgers with 24’4″

Longest Men’s Drive: McHale Maristuen

Longest Women’s Drive: Kristi Halverson

Closest to the Pin: Sean Knutson at 5’6″
